I'm a researcher in computational chemistry, and I've been following the developments in quantum computing with great interest, specifically for simulating complex molecular interactions that are intractable for classical computers. While the theoretical potential is enormous, I'm trying to assess the current practical reality of available quantum hardware and algorithms for real-world chemistry problems. Are there any established use cases beyond proof-of-concept where quantum computing is providing actionable insights today, or are we still firmly in the NISQ era where error correction remains the primary bottleneck?
