As a longtime fan of the Elder Scrolls series, I'm trying to temper my expectations amidst the constant TES VI release date rumors that circulate online every few months. With Starfield's launch now behind them, I'm curious about the community's realistic timeline predictions based on Bethesda's past development cycles and Todd Howard's recent comments. For those who follow the studio closely, what credible information or industry patterns suggest a potential announcement window or even a target year? How long do you anticipate the gap between a proper reveal and the actual launch will be, and what engine improvements from Starfield do you think will carry over to significantly impact TES VI's scale and gameplay?
Realistic timeline is tough, but based on Bethesda's cadence, a TES VI reveal isn't imminent with solid details. The 2018 teaser is the last public milestone, and Starfield's long runway shows they often stretch development after an announcement. A plausible window for a proper reveal is the mid-2020s (think 2025–2027), with actual launch likely a couple years after that—though nothing's officially confirmed.
