As a mechanic, I see the same beginner driver mistakes causing damage to vehicles over and over. From my perspective in the shop, what are the most common and costly beginner driver mistakes to avoid?
I'm talking about things like improper braking techniques that wear out pads prematurely, or not checking tire pressure regularly. But I'm also interested in the safety mistakes - the ones that could lead to accidents rather than just repair bills.
What beginner driver mistakes have you seen or made yourself that new drivers should really watch out for?
