I'm finally ready to build my first gaming PC with a budget of around $1,500, aiming for smooth 1440p performance on modern titles. I've been researching parts for weeks, but I'm stuck on a few key decisions, mainly whether to go with an AMD or Intel CPU for this generation and how to balance the GPU cost against the rest of the components. For builders who have recently completed a similar mid-range build, what specific parts did you choose and why? I'm particularly unsure about motherboard selection for future upgrades, the ideal speed and capacity for DDR5 RAM, and whether a high-end air cooler is sufficient or if I should invest in an AIO liquid cooler. Are there any compatibility pitfalls or overlooked components I should double-check before ordering everything?
