My therapist recently suggested we try Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address my persistent anxiety and catastrophic thinking patterns, which are severely impacting my work performance. I understand the basic premise of identifying and challenging negative thoughts, but I'm finding it incredibly difficult to apply the techniques in the moment when I'm actually spiraling. I'm curious about others' practical experiences with CBT, especially how long it took to see tangible results and what specific exercises or journaling methods were most helpful for making the skills feel automatic.
