I've been living in my neighborhood for about a year but I still haven't found my people, and I'm hoping to connect by joining some local community groups. I'm interested in anything from a casual running club or a gardening group to a book club that doesn't take itself too seriously. I've looked on generic social media sites but it's hard to find active, smaller groups that actually meet in person. How did you all find your niche communities here, and are there any groups you'd recommend for someone looking to make new friends around shared interests?
