I'm launching a small digital marketing agency and have just landed my first few clients, which means I need to draft solid service agreements. I'm worried about protecting myself from scope creep and ensuring clear payment terms, but I have no legal background. I've looked at online templates, but they feel too generic. For other small business owners, how did you approach creating your first contracts—did you consult a lawyer from the start, use a specialized template service, or something else—and what specific clauses did you find most critical to include beyond the basics?
