I'm a first-year medical student struggling to memorize the intricate pathways and origins/insertions for all the muscles in the upper limb for our upcoming anatomy practical. I've been using flashcards and diagrams, but the volume of information is overwhelming, and I'm having trouble moving beyond rote memorization to a functional understanding. For students who have successfully navigated gross anatomy, what study techniques or resources helped you build a lasting three-dimensional mental map of the structures and their relationships, especially for complex areas like the brachial plexus?
