I'm relatively new to Blender and trying to learn sculpting for character creation, but I keep running into performance issues and my meshes get lumpy when I try to add finer details like skin pores or wrinkles. I'm using a decent graphics card but my topology probably isn't optimal. For more experienced Blender artists, what are your foundational steps before you start sculpting, and what are some essential brush settings or techniques for adding high-frequency detail without destroying the base form or crashing the software?
