I'm designing a qualitative research study for my sociology thesis, exploring how remote work has impacted the sense of professional identity among early-career professionals. I plan to use semi-structured interviews, but I'm concerned about potential bias in my questioning and how to effectively code the data to identify emergent themes without imposing my own assumptions. For experienced qualitative researchers, what strategies did you use to enhance the rigor and trustworthiness of your interview-based studies, particularly during the coding and thematic analysis phase?
