I'm relatively new to Blender and trying to model a detailed, non-organic hard-surface object—a vintage camera with lots of buttons, dials, and subtle bevels—but my mesh is becoming a tangled mess of ngons and uneven topology that's impossible to subdivide or bevel cleanly. I'm starting from a basic cube and using loop cuts and extrusions, but I lose control of the edge flow around complex intersections. For experienced modelers, what is your systematic approach for planning topology on intricate hard-surface models, and are there specific add-ons or modifier stacks you rely on to maintain clean geometry while adding those small, realistic details?
