I've been freelancing as a graphic designer for a few years, but I've recently had a client dispute over project scope that wasn't clearly defined in our simple email agreement, leaving me to either do significant extra work for free or damage the relationship. This has made me realize I need a proper, comprehensive contract template to use for all future clients. For other established freelancers, what specific clauses do you consider non-negotiable in your contracts beyond the basics like payment terms and deadlines, such as those covering revision limits, intellectual property transfer upon final payment, kill fees, and liability limitations, and where did you find a reliable template or legal service to create one without spending a fortune on a lawyer for every single job?
